全国中学生英语阅读竞赛全国总决赛通知

各位老师，
各位同学：

    第二届“外教社•卡西欧杯”全国中学生英语阅读竞赛，经过半年多的初赛和复赛，在全国7大赛区和官方网站在线答题的参赛选手中，选拔出许多英语水平出众的学生。入围全国总决赛的选手，将于7月10日至12日，在风景秀丽的“山城”重庆，代表全国各大赛区的中学生一展风采。

    总决赛期间，组委会还为大家安排了精彩丰富的活动。我们将在颁奖仪式后，为每位参赛选手提供才艺展示的机会。请各位同学把自己的文艺特长（演唱、舞蹈、乐器、相声、朗诵、主持等）报给组委会。

    组委会还为入围总决赛的选手和光临现场的老师，邀请到多位英语教学领域的嘉宾，与大家分享学生英语学习和成长的经验。我们还特别邀请到首届竞赛高中组冠军俞则璇同学的父亲俞谦铭先生，与大家交流家庭英语教育的心得体会，以及余则璇同学轻松得到大学提前录取资格的心得体会。欢迎各位选手的家长光临决赛现场！

【口试环节】
分值：占选手个人总成绩80%
时间：4分钟命题演讲，1分钟问答

初中组演讲题目：

My Future Life in Ten Years

In the last ten years, computers have moved from business office to the front of everybody’s face, and all of those computers, including the one on your desk, are wired into one big network. During the same time, China changed from a "bicycle kingdom" to world's fastest-growing auto market, and saw a 28% increase of private car ownership alone in 2008.

Your life, absolutely, has been reshaped as you witness the changes around you. But in the next ten years, will you hire a robot as a cook and cleaner for your family, or will you take your private pilotless plane to your office?

Liberate Your Imagination, and describe how your life will be influenced by some seemingly impossible things that will come true in the next ten years. And share the picture with us.

Technology and Our Life

Some people believe that technology is so important to our daily life that we can hardly survive without technological advances such as cars, microwaves, cell phones, and computers. While others think the non-drug addictions of those modern inventions may cause environmental problems, and lead people to be less creative, or even lose their jobs to machines.

How do you weigh the advantages and disadvantages of technology? And what’s your smart tip to balance our life in the post-industrial society?
